The Bank has joined the fight against the coronavirus by donating money to the fund set up to purchase health care equipment and support the most vulnerable segments of society
Escaldes-Engordany (2 April 2020) – Vall Banc joins the fight against the coronavirus. The Bank has donated 30,000 euros to the fund that the Andorran Government has set up to cushion the impact of the COVID-19 health crisis. This fund raises money to purchase medical equipment to support those most at risk and to cover the expenses incurred by volunteering associations.
Since the onset of the health crisis, the Bank has taken positive action to prevent contagion among its staff and customers and suppliers, following the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the WHO. Thus, by promoting teleworking and taking every precaution, the Bank continues to serve its customers while keeping them apprised of every step and every measure taken during these exceptional times.
“Given the sheer scale of this pandemic, with a tragic death toll and a huge number of hospitalised patients and which has shut down many of the economy, we at Vall Ban will continue to support the fight against coronavirus, due to our role as a prominent social and economic player within the Principality", explained CEO, Jose Luis Dorado.
The Bank is working alongside the Andorran Banking Association on all actions being undertaken and is supporting the Andorran Government in its bid to combat the coronavirus.
For anyone wishing to join us in this fight and make a donation, the Government has set up the following bank account at Vall Banc for this welfare fund: AD90 0025 0001 0112 7109 8626
In the wake of a crisis such as this, we must all play our part if we are to prevail. #Ensensortirem
